We have loved making these beautiful pictures on previous workshops, now it's your turn to have a go.
Join us to make a beautiful scenic picture using wool and a variety of fabrics.
Learn felting and free motion sewing whilst you discover your artistic side.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with felting experience, and by the end of the class you will have created a beautiful piece of felted artwork.
We will be exploring needle felting using:
• Needle punching, needle punch embellisher machines
• Different materials to create texture.
• Learning about what materials you can use including recycled fabrics
• Working in three dimensions
• How to choose a picture to create depth and colour combination
• Working on details using free hand machine embroidery.

Explore Cathedral Window and
Japanese Folded Patchwork

Discover the magic of a traditional patchwork in its many forms from Secret Garden to the basic Cathedral Window.
Learn easy ways to construct whether by hand or machine. Insert those small scraps of favourite fabric for a cushion front, box or pin cushion.
Then explore the intricacies and the amazing designs that can be created from folding circles over squares - the Japanese way.
This is a technique based workshop designed to give you a clear understanding of both techniques. .
Requirements:
- 3/4 Fat Quarters or equivalent
- Selection of small scraps for inserts (2.5" square or larger)
- 25 x 50 cm firm craft vilene or pelmet vilene or any other stiff fibre - doesn't have to be fusible
- Sewing machine + foot control! (You may do this class by hand but it will take longer!)
- General sewing accessories
- Paper scissors
- Thin card - cereal boxes are excellent
- Rotary cutting equipment inc square ruler if available

Heirloom Pillow Workshop
Wednesday 11th December
11 am - 3 pm
On this course you will learn the basic heirloom stitches and techniques such as puffing, lace insertion, twin needle and traditional pin tucks to produce a beautiful heirloom accessory pillow.
