We are planning an exciting year of classes and workshops to take your skills to the next level.

All workshops / classes will be run in line with the current Government Guidelines.
BACK TO BASICS
Join us on our back to basic sewing and quilting classes which are suitable for all ages and abilities. Learn Dressmaking, Heirloom, Patchwork and Quilting, Bag making and much, much more, using state of the art equipment, or bring your own favourite machine.
Be creative and sew that extra special dress or make a keepsake for a loved one. We are now seeing a large influx of young people wanting to learn the basics of sewing which is brilliant, so why not join us on one of our workshops.
Both guests and in house tutors are trained to the highest standard and pass on their knowledge in a friendly relaxed way.
DRESSMAKING / SEWING
Learn the basic skills of reading and cutting out a pattern, taking measurements, making a toile, and samples e.g. seams, pockets, collars, cuffs etc. Using modern machines and overlockers to construct and finish the garment.
Our tutors will advise you on selecting a pattern and the correct fabric for your selected project. Our weekly sewing classes run throughout the year, and you may join at any time.
PATCHWORK & QUILTING
New patchwork and quilting workshop
Using modern machines and equipment, patchwork and quilting has never been so easy. We will cover various techniques which will be ideal for those who have never tried piecing or quilting before. These blocks can be used to make a bag, a cushion cover, or we can really go for it and plan a quilt.
One Sunday every month 11-3 pm - £55
Day one 10th September
We will cover patchwork techniques, accurate cutting strips, and triangles learning to sew precise seams and constructing quilt blocks
Introduction to different methods of patchwork and quilting such as appliqué and paper piecing.
If the machine is purchased elsewhere, we can also arrange 1-1 tuition classes to suit, £30 per hour or £55 for two hours.
KIDS CAN SEW
Due to our involvement with schools in the area, we know how important it is to pass on skills to younger generations and are delighted to see so many taking up new hobbies. The skills you learn will last a lifetime and enable you to design and create beautiful projects of your own.
(Kids Workshop also available during school Holidays)
